Mexican Avocados Turned Away at US Border

The decision came despite the fact that the Jalisco avocados met the requirements set out last May, receiving the relevant certification from U.S. authorities. Five trucks carrying a shipment of 100 tons of avocados from the state of Jalisco, Mexico were halted last Wednesday at the Mexican-U.S. border, by order of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
